A very nutritious vegetable, bottle gourd is rich in vitamins and minerals like calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, and vitamins A, and C. On the other hand, Apples contain a variety of elements, including vitamins, dietary fibre, and antioxidants. Almond milk, apple, and bottle gourd: a delicious and unique combination. The kheer is rich, creamy and light on the stomach.


  • Fresh Almond milk- 3 cups
  • Grated bottle gourd (Lauki)- 1 cup
  • Grated apple- 1 cup
  • Jaggery powder- ¾ cup or as per taste
  • Raisins- 1 tsp
  • Pumpkin seeds- 1 tsp

Simple Tip!

You can make this recipe in about 15minutes if you rest the mushrooms during the time it takes to cook pasta and make the dressing.


● Start by boiling almond milk in a pan. Do not over-boil the milk.
● Once the milk thickens, mix in apple and bottle gourd.
● Then, add jaggery powder for sweetness and bring the milk to a boil.
● Serve chill and garnish with raisins and pumpkin seeds for extra taste. Enjoy!
