For all you gluten-free waffle lovers out there, this one-bowl recipe is for you! These waffles are crispy and light, with a delicate interior – everything you could ever want in a waffle. And to make things easy, gluten-free waffle recipe uses a gluten-free flour blend.
Prep time- 15 minutes
Cook time- 10 minutes
Servings- 4 people
Ingredients-
- Gluten-Free Flour (or oats flour)- 2 cups
- Almond Flour- ½ cup
- Sea Salt- ½ tsp
- Aluminum Free Baking Powder- 1 tbsp
- Organic Coconut Sugar- 3 tbsp
- Light Coconut Milk- 1 ½ cup
- Vanilla Extract (optional)- 1 tsp
- Coconut Oil- ¼ cup
- Aquafaba (the liquid of cooked chickpeas)- ⅓ cup
Procedure-
- To a large mixing bowl, add the following ingredients: gluten-free flour (oat flour), almond flour, sea salt, baking powder, and organic coconut sugar. Combine these ingredients and set the mixture aside.
- To a bowl, add coconut milk, vanilla (optional), and melted coconut oil. Whisk thoroughly to combine and set aside.
- In a separate bowl, whisk the aquafaba until it’s foamy.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the aquafaba and the other ingredients until combined. Then add the foamy aquafaba and whisk it into the batter.
- Preheat your waffle iron for about five minutes before adding a cup of batter. Close the iron and let it cook for five to seven minutes until it’s golden brown and crispy on the outside.
