Jowar Methi Paratha or Fenugreek & Sorghum Flat Bread is gotten from maize kernels and a great alternative to the traditional wheat based parathas or rotis. Not only are these delicious to taste, but also contains a good source of nutrients.

  • Finely chopped Fresh Methi – 1 cup
  • Rock salt to taste
  • Turmeric (Haldi) – ¼ tsp
  • Cumin seeds (Jeera) – 1 tsp
  • Sesame seeds – 1 tsp
  • Ajwain – ½ tsp
  • Jowar flour – 1.5 cups


  • Take a good amount of fresh methi greens. Finely chop the leaves and add rock salt, chilly powder, turmeric, cumin powder, sesame seeds, and ajwain. Mix everything well!
  • Now add the Jowar flour and mix it thoroughly.
  • If required, add curd to properly knead the dough.
  • Keep it aside for 10 to 15 minutes.
  • Your dough is ready. Now prepare the paratha.
